fragile storm
Yes, when we’re apart, we all look up at the same sun and the same moon and the same stars—but not the same clouds, nor the same trees, nor likely the same birds, nor even the same sky—for how many other currents blow in from all the peopled elsewheres, only to swirl in and dilute our own local atmospheres?
But every now and then we may yet chance to feel a mere atom of one another’s breath on the breeze; or the tiniest droplet of one another’s sweat falling with the rain; or a gentle shimmering teardrop with minuscule crystalline arms—indeed, it is a wide Earth; but the breadth of the sky will swaddle us all with its fleeting fragile storms.
